How to get a nine year old, stubborn, "Queen of the House" cat to accept a kitten?
My family and I have kept kittens before, but we know to wisely keep them in a back room with the door locked. We possibly want to get a kitten to keep, but the only problem is our current cat. She has been the only cat in our house for 9 years and likes it to stay that way. How can we get her to allow another cat in the house? Are there steps to get her more cat-friendly? One time, when she discovered we were keeping a kitten in the house, she ran away for four days! We've tried everything, and I would like advice from somebody who has had a similar problem that they resolved. Thank you in advanced!
Some cats are "Divas" and insist on being only children.
There's no changing it.
I had one myself, tried to get another cat, and it was a blood bath.
Just leave well enough alone.
