Do those underground wireless fences really work for keeping pets in the yard.and how about other animals out?
I am getting a tiny Yorkie on Mother's Day. I live in a garden home and don't have much yard, but still would like to put something out to keep her close. I don't want a traditional fence, so I thought one of those underground electronic fences might work. I think the puppy would wear something on a collar. And, I really wanted to know if it would keep other animals out if I left her outside for a little while. If they do work, how much do they cost? Thanx for any input!
Pam is correct. I also think your yard is a bit too small for the underground fence too. The lease amount of space between the wire and the time your dog will get a correction is 6 feet. Plus you have such a small dog that in this case I think it may be harmful to the dog.
If you had a much bigger yard and a bigger dog then it would be something to think about. The do make very nice decorative fencing look for those and it will keep you dog contained and make the garden look nice too.
